We LOVE JFK on Cape Cod! John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the 35th President of the United States. He served from 1961 until his assassination in 1963. During his Presidency, JFK and his lovely wife Jackie, summered in Hyannis Port on Cape Cod, which is just a hop, skip and a jump from our shop in West Dennis, MA. JFK's Presidency was a too-brief and memorable time, dubbed "Camelot" by Jackie after he died, thereby cementing JFK's image as progressive, pioneering, romanticized and even legendary like King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table from the 12th century.
FUN FACTS about JFK:
-He was 43 years old when he was elected President, making him the youngest to hold that office.
-He was the first Roman Catholic President.
-He had been a Boy Scout.
-He was a Purple Heart Recipient.
-He was a Pulitzer Prize Winner.
-He created the Peace Corps.
We have a large collection of JFK collectibles in our shop in West Dennis, Massachusetts. We also have all manner of antique, vintage, vinyl, nautical and art treasures. I am looking forward to seeing you all soon.
LOVE, Betty
