This Bakelite table lamp is from the 1940s. Works great! In excellent condition! This would look good in any room - living room, bedroom, hall table, etc....

Bakelite was the first plastic made from synthetic components. It was developed by Leo Baekeland in Yonkers, NY in 1907.

Bakelite was one of the first plastic-like materials to be introduced into the modern world and was popular because it could be molded and then hardened into any shape.
