Antique primitive Foot Bed Warmer
Antique primitive foot bed warmers, used to heat beds before the advent of central heating typically consisted of a metal container (often copper or brass) or a soapstone box, sometimes encased in wood, that held hot embers or water. These warmers were used to heat beds before occupants retired for the night, providing a welcome warmth in cold homes.
Measures: 8 1/4" long x 6 1/2" deep x 4" tall
