German Antique Porcelain Luster Spittoon
The popularity of chewing tobacco in the late 1800s was reflected in the manufacture and sale of ceramic spittoons by local potteries. Spittoons were containers for tobacco juice and wads.
And now they make great planters or catch-all jars!
In fantastically great condition - slight wear to gold around top. Beautiful gargoyles on both sides with roses design.
Measures: 8 1/2" wide x 7 1/2" deep x 4 3/4" tall
